The International Poultry Expo has announced a new featured educational program at their 2012 Expo titled International Rendering Symposium: Focus on Quality.

“Encompassing safety and quality control practices serve as the foundation to the production of a quality product,” said Dr. David Meeker, Vice President of Scientific Services for the National Renderers Association. “Rendered byproducts are an essential aspect to the poultry industry.”

Hydro Solutions’ customized REACT-OX program can be an essential component of safe and efficient rendering production, including poultry, beef, and pork. REACT-OX works within your air scrubber to remove odorous gases, VOCs, and odor-causing compounds from the air stream.

We at Hydro Solutions encourage attendance at this symposium, which is set for Thursday and Friday, January 26-27, 2012 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. All registered Expo attendees are eligible to attend the International Rendering Symposium for an additional $150.

There are two categories for the award. One category is for full treatment facilities, which are those facilities that fully reclaim their wastewater prior to discharge into receiving water or a final land application system. The other category is for pretreatment facilities, which are those facilities that discharge pretreated effluent to publicly-owned full treatment facilities.

The 2012 winners will be announced at USPOULTRY’s Environmental Management Seminar, to be held March 7-8 in Nashville.
